Men buck the trend
21 January 2014
They say that behind every successful man is a great woman, but sometimes the table shifts. It’s a fact, great women charter the success of Dress for Success the world over, but here in the coolest little capital in the world we’re bucking the trend, with men mucking in behind the scenes.
Colm Finn, Luke Aki and Eamon Osborne are a talented trio helping to advance important Dress for Success Wellington work.
IT contractor and father of two, Colm has helped to rebuild our new website. With more than 20 years experience in IT and motivation to do ‘interesting work for a great cause,’ Colm is well suited to be a technical advisor to our digital communications team.
Another contributor to the website is Luke, a photographic enthusiast. His ability to capture moments in time has added some novelty and certainly impact, to our online presence.
Eamon is the self-confessed muscle and ‘driving force’ behind the Shop for Success monthly market stall on Wellington’s waterfront. Last year he helped with setting up and packing down the stall as well as transporting clothes to and from the market.
Volunteer Grace Loftus has been the common factor they say, for introducing them to Dress for Success Wellington.
We proudly offer equal volunteer opportunities (EVO) at Dress for Success Wellington. Currently we need more volunteers to help with some heavy lifting and transporting clothing.
If this sounds like you, contact Beatrice Fisher, Manager Volunteers.
