Dress for Success Wellington farewells Corinne Blumsky
26 March 2014
Dress for Success Wellington would like to thank Corinne Blumsky for her extended involvement with the organisation and more recently as a board member.
Corinne started volunteering with Dress for Success Wellington when it was first established because she believed in what the organisation stands for.
“I started by attending events and donating clothes because I think the concept of Dress for Success is very admirable,” says Corinne.
“It is satisfying to help women empower themselves to take responsibility and control of their own future. Helping women to find a job all starts with assisting them to dress well and gain confidence.
For the last four years Corinne has diligently served as a member of the Dress for Success Wellington Board. A role that she has thoroughly enjoyed, “it has been an honour to be involved with such a passionate and competent group of people, not only locally but nationally and internationally too.”
During her time with the organisation, Corinne has relished the opportunity to work with Dress for Success affiliates around New Zealand, in Australia and further abroad.
“Although each affiliate has responsibility for looking after the women in their region, we often work together to share insights, ideas and experiences.”
Dress for Success Wellington Board President, Helen Trim would like to thank Corinne for the hard work she has done for the organisation over the years.
“Corinne's professional yet down-to-earth outlook has positively influenced our decision making. She's a committed team player who has shared generously not only her time, but her extensive social and business connections too. She will be sorely missed,” says Helen.
Corinne leaves the board of Dress for Success Wellington at the end of this month to focus on her other volunteer positions and to get married.
